Gurgaon Metro is all set to launch a new metro line to ease the intercity commute, this is also known as ‘Gurgaon Metro Expansion’. This project the "Gurugram Metro Expansion Project" will cover a distance of 28.5 kilometers and will connect Huda City Centre to Cyber City, via Old Gurgaon including the area like Sector 22, Krishna Chowk, and Subhash Chowk.

The route of this new development will have 27 stops in total, these 27 stops will also include an interchange station. Recently, the Union Cabinet has approved this metro expansion project which has faced a delay of several years. However, once this project is completed, it will connect two sides of Gurgaon.

On February 16, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi" laid the foundation stone of the Gurugram metro extension project in Rewari. As already stated the length of this metro route will be around 28.5 km. The length of the main line will be 26.65 km and the remaining 1.85 km stretch will be the spur that is constructed from Basai Village to Dwarka Expressway.

How will this Extended Metro Line Benefit the People?

This extended metro line from Huda City Centre to Cyber City will benefit more than 2.5 million people. Not only that but this development will also boost the economic development of this area. As per the projections done by the authorities, the expected number of people traveling by 2026 is 5.4 lakh people and by 2031 is 7.26 lakh.

As per the "Latest News on New Gurugram Metro Line", the Gurgaon Metro will connect the "Delhi-Gurgaon-Dharuhera Rapid Rail Corridor" via a New Underground Intersecting Station. In the latest news, it was mentioned that the Gurgaon metro will have enhanced connectivity through the addition of an underground metro station on the Delhi-Gurgaon-Dharuhera Rapid Rail Corridor.

This new underground metro station will be constructed at Hero Honda Chowk and this metro station will also serve as an intersection point for the upcoming Gurugram Metro Rail Project.
